Uzès - So much, so near
Domain de Paradis is located within the picturesque commune of 'Uzège'. The vibrant town of Uzès lies less than 900 meters or a 20 minute stroll away. During the warm evenings of summer why not join the
villagers in a game of boules?
The town of Uzès is steeped in history and has many beautiful and historic buildings. There are
numerous social functions including the Saturday 'Truffle Market' and the annual street party in
August, a fantastic opportunity to meet your Mayor and the other locals. Perhaps after lunch and
a glass or two of wine you may join the villagers and take a dip in the fountain in the main square
and be initiated into the village way of life! As well as a good selection of shops and services, it
has numerous excellent bars and restaurants for you to enjoy.
Nîmes - An Enchanted City
The 2000 year old city of Nîmes is a 20 minute drive away and is steeped in culture and history. The stunning
monuments and architecture owe much to the Romans and on one side of the city can be found the magnificent
Arenes Roman amphitheatre built during the last century BC. There is also the famous Roman theatre La Maison
Carree or 'Square House'.

bistros and shops that fill the grid of the 16th century streets that surround the central 'place'.
The city hosts numerous cultural events throughout the year the highlight of which are the 3 annual 'Ferias'
or street festivals held in February, May and September. You can fly daily direct to London Luton,
Liverpool, East Midland and Brussels from Nimes airport. |
